google back links
I have a question on back links.
Should the back links from other internal pages to home page point to http://www.mysite.com/ or to http://www.mysite.com/index.php? Are both urls treated as one and same by google for the site’s page rank? I think that the link text preferably be ‘Home’ as otherwise it could be confusing to the site visitors. Thanks, |
Yes, Google will treat both the URLs equal. Google ultimately resolves the absolute URL for the indexing so www.yoursite.com and www.yoursite.com/index.php will the same URL. Google is matured enough.
It is general trend to tag 'Home' for all internal links pointing towards homepage but it is not a must. Mandar Thosar e-Zest Solutions |
