Difference b/w WordPress.com and Blogger.com?

The main difference between Blogger.com and WordPress.com is that Blogger.com is Owned by Google itself and it is based on HTML, CSS, javascript and XML unlike WordPress.com which is Based on PHP and MySQL

Wordpress site is more SEO optimised than Blogger.
Also on blogger you can host your website for free while in wordpress you have to buy the hosting.
