The Pew Research Center, a Washington based research organisation, has released a report which indicates that the young in US are spending more time on social media network Facebook, rather than Twittering and blogging.
The survey, which was conducted by the organisation back in September, involved two cycles of telephonic interviews, one for teens between 12-17 years age group and the other for adults above 18 years of age.
Amanda Lenhart, a researcher with Pew, expressing her surprise on the results of the study titled ‘Social Media and Mobile Internet Use Among Teens and Young Adults’, said that “Out of all the data, we think in some ways it's most surprising to see a decline in blogging. There's been a move from MySpace, which put blogging front and center, to Facebook, which doesn't have that.”
