Wink Best screen size for web site.

Hello!

What would you say is the best screen size of a website. I've just started on a new one, but i know it wont fit on most monitors. Mine is set to 1280 x 960 which makes it hard to judge on smaller resolution. I hate changing it as is messes with my icons .

So, what's a good size to use in this age?

Hellow
Developing fixed-size Web pages is a fundamentally flawed practice. Not only does it result in Web pages that remain at a constant size regardless of the user's browser size, but it fails to take advantage of the medium's flexibility. Nonetheless, Web site creators continue to develop fixed pages.
Thanks to all

Yes I agree with Swati and Kelvi, 1024 *768 screens are the most popular screen resolution used by users but now the most popular screen resolution on the web is 1366 * 768.

Thanks for sharing it. The minimum resolution for designing a website no wider than 1024 still had as lot of merit, with nearly 10% of visitors running 1024 X 768.

The most popular screen resolution on the web is 1366*768 as a standered resolution for windows 8 to make it user friendly.

In the market you can find a different -2 screen size for web site. And according to me a site in all resolutions higher than 800 x 600 and you will find that it is designed to fit the page exactly.

The best screen size of website comfortably fit on your screen page resolution may be adopted 800*600 as standard web size. 93%population can view the page 800*600 without scrolling the web page.
